finished objects: woven scarves

Who knew that weaving was (a) so gratifying or (b) so unbelievably fast? If fiber-lust is an addiction, now regard my loom as a crack dispenser - witness the evidence:

Two scarves, woven from Fleece Artist Kiss Curls laceweight mohair boucle. Both are feather-weight and gossamer thin (due in no small part to the fact that they’re woven on a heddle built for worsted), and both are lovely in their insubstantial, primitive way. I swear to God that I haven’t given up knitting.

Urrggg!!! I’ve been eyeing that loom for a while now. I may have to just buy it now that I’ve seen how it works with thinner yarns! So much for food this month! :)

Pretty! I can’t believe you’ve only just started weaving, great work! Isn’t it fun to have a new toy to play with?

    Hi,
Newbie around these parts, was curious to what kind of loom you have? I’m guessing a rigid heddle. is it one of the new ones out? I have an older one from a garage sale (came in a box like a board game!) that i keep meaning to just warp and get on with it.
