Flash Your Fiber Stash: British Wool Mania Part Two!

In honor of Flash Your Fiber Stash day, here’s the rest of British Wool Mania from ForestFibres! Be sure to scroll down to catch the bulk of the British wools in my first FYFS post (there are much better pics down there, I confess.)  Again, I HIGHLY recommend this seller if you’re interested in rare breeds.
First up is beautiful Leicester Longwool, with a whopping 8″ staple. This stuff is gorgeous and has a wonderful sheen - I’m looking forward to it:

Then there’s Black Welsh, a relatively coarse wool that is indeed coal-black, with only the faintest bit of sunbleaching and with dense, crimpy locks:

Kerry Hill is a lovely Cormo-springy and soft wool, with a bit of VM but with a beautiful fluffy texture:

And finally, here’s some lovely Shetland roving (okay, not part of the fleece extravaganza, but still!)

I’ve neglected to show the amazing Bowmont, a very fine fleece with a wonderful fluffy texture and gorgeous tiny crimp… more on that later, if I can stop combing it out long enough to photograph it…

When are they going to invent 3-d pettable computer monitors? I want to feel those fibers!

I love all the natural fiber, but the hand painted merino is soooo lovely
