cat troubles

I’m very sorry I don’t have a lot of knitting content for you folks this week.  This is what’s been taking up most of my time:

Zoot, the greatest cat in the world, has inoperable cancer.  He’s an old boy - 18 - but we truly thought he would live forever.  We don’t know how long he has, but when the time comes, we’ve been told that we’ll know.

So say a prayer for my little fat buddy.  And I promise, more knitting and spinning and such once I get my head back on.

    Zut, Zooty. :(
I’m sorry. But like I said, I’m glad his cat life is with you.

Oh, I’m so sorry, honey. You will know so you needn’t worry your head about it. One day he will look at you in a certain way and you will know.

I’m so sorry :( Losing a dear member of the family is so hard. Enjoy your time together, and look back fondly when he’s gone. I wish you all the best

My sympathies. Our little angora princess died two years ago, aged nearly 20. Complications from diabetes and extreme old age. We now have two black/black&white terrors.

One (minor) consolation is that Zoot, when he goes, will be warm, safe, and loved.

When our Tiffany died, my husband reminded me that in many cultures cats are thought to guard the gateway into the next world. I’m sure that Zoot will make sure you get a free pass.

That is so hard! I’ll be thinking of you and Zoot. *huge hugs*!!

I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m glad you guys had so much time together.

Oh gosh! I’m so sorry. Zoot has been lucky to own a human like you who cares so much.

  9. Kyle Says:

I’m sooooo Sorry! I was a wreck when I lost my Dave. We had a vet friend come out to the house for us which made it easier. I also prepared his body for cremation, brushing him and wrapping him, which was very healing for me.

He spent his last day outside with his momma and daddy, sitting in the ‘nip patch. I miss him terribly sometimes, but know he’s pain free and still laying in a sunny ‘nip patch somewhere.

  10. Sarah Says:

I hate to hear that. I hope he’s not in pain, poor kitty.

I’m so sorry. Losing an old, beloved cat is one of the hardest things you can do. I can’t imagine what it’s like knowing ahead of time that it’s going to happen.

  13. Mandy Says:

I left you a message on your knitty thread, but I just wanted to say again how sorry I am.

Zoot has been a very blessed kitty - with companions that adore him as much as he adores them!

Very sad news. Pets ask for very little, and give so much love in return.

  15. LaBean Says:

Aww precious Zooty!! I had no idea it was that type of problem.. Cats are such g-dly creatures, why do they suffer so? I’m sure he will be greatly missed. 3 Cheers for Big-Booty Zooty!!

  16. Sue Says:

    oh… =(
I have never read your blog before, and the first thing I see id this beautiful cat and I’m almost crying thinking about how hard it must be for you, and for Zoot. I myself have a little old kitty, and we send you all the best wishes, hoping Zoot will have some very precious days with you now.
    purrs

I’m so sorry to hear about your cat. I had a cat (Murray) that my whole family loved like a child. He lived to be 17 till a stroke led to him passing away….it was devastating. My thoughts are with you.
